We Will Apply Federal Character Principles for Stability in FUOYE –VC

For the principles of justice, equity and fairplay to be deeply
entrenched in the running of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. kayode soremekun, has assured that his administration won’t negate the tenets of Federal Character in its dealings.

Soremekun said this at the weekend while playing host to the officials of the Federal Character Commission led by the commissioner representing Ekiti state, Mr Bunmi Ojo in his office.

The Vice Chancellor said he would ensure that the principles of federal character is strictly applied in employments , admissions and in appointments, to bring stability to the citadel of learning, saying he could not afford to work at variance with the policies of the federal government that brought him into office.

Soremekun added that interest of all Nigerians, irrespective of
race religion, gender or region are equitably represented while at the same time considering merit through his tenure.
