Five of the cultists aged below 19 years said to be members of the Supreme Viking Confraternity and the six armed robbers were paraded before newsmen at the State Police headquarters, Ikot Akpanabia, Uyo.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Cordelia Nwawe, said the suspected cultists identified as a student of Maurid Polytechnic, Mbiaso in Nsit Ibom local government area of the state, were arrested during initiation of new members.

Nwawe warned that any form of criminality was unacceptable in the state as there is no room for any man, woman or teenager to perpetrate crime.

“In Akwa Ibom State, there is no hiding place to any criminal because the commissioner of police will declare outright zero tolerance on you and we are not ready to sit back and watch people committing crimes as we will smoke you out.
