We’ll Give Federation Cup a Shot – Atete

Monday Osayande in Warri

Julius Atete Football Club of Warri, this year’s winners of the Delta State FA Cup, has vowed to win the Federation Cup in order to bring glory to the state when the national competition begins.

Chairman of the club, Julius Atete, said after his team drubbed Warri Wolves in the finals of the state F.A. Cup match recently, via penalties, that nothing will stop them from outshining others, having prepared seriously for the games ahead.

He noted that the journey of the club in the league and F.A cup has not been an easy one both physically and financially, but added that his vision for the club is to see the players move abroad to ply their trade.

“I am overwhelmed and I give glory to God for winning the state F.A Cup. It is not easy beating the number one club in the state. We played 90 minutes without goals and I thank the players for making the penalties.”
