The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State, Mr Isaacs Kekemeke, on Wednesday read the riot act to members of the party and supporters of various gubernatorial aspirants to desist from using social media platforms to abuse leaders and other stakeholders of the party or face the wrath of the organisation.
The APC chairman issued the warning at the party’s secretariat when he and other leaders of the party were receiving a former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Victor Olabimtan, who came to declare his intention to contest for the ticket of the party ahead of 2016 Election.
The visibly angry APC chairman said the party decided to keep watching for now in order not to be distracted from focusing on the mission to dislodge the incumbent administration from Government House, Alagbaka.
“We are compiling the names of these people and irrespective or who they are supporting, we shall deal with them appropriately.
“We shall expel them from the party. I see them as irritants, who have no value to add to the party. We decide to be watching them for now because we do not want them to distract us. We must see them and their sponsors as enemies of the party and the people.
“We shall not accept the situation whereby anybody disparage the party or any aspirant for whatever reason. Let us stop attacking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and not ourselves, we shall deal with the situation decisively”, Kekemeke said.
Addressing the gathering, the aspirant, Olabimtan, who described himself as a core party man said he would carry along the party on how he would run the affairs of government if he wins the election and become the governor of the state.
Olabimtan, who allayed the fears being expressed by some people that he would give preference to only those who came from the PDP if he wins the election, said those who would participate in his government are those that are running up and down for the party.
