Pistis Foundation’s UBOMI Returns to Ibadan, Lagos, Targeting 10,000 Beneficiaries
Pistis Foundation, the social intervention arm of The Elevation Church, has announced the 2026 edition of UBOMI, its flagship free medical and surgical outreach, which will hold in two cities this year: Ibadan from 21–25 September, and Lagos from 19–23 October.
Together, the two outreaches are targeting 10,000 beneficiaries — the largest combined reach in the programme’s history.
Since its founding, UBOMI has directly addressed the gap in access to quality healthcare for Nigeria’s underserved, delivering 48,706 verified medical interventions at a 99 per cent surgical success rate. The programme provides a broad range of services, including medical consultations, diagnostic investigations, pharmaceutical support, dental care, eye care, general and specialist surgical procedures, health education and more, at no cost to beneficiaries.
“UBOMI exists because we believe healthcare should never be out of reach simply because someone cannot afford it,” said Leonard F. Thomas, Executive Director, Pistis Foundation. “UBOMI was established as a strategic response to the dilapidating state of healthcare in underserved communities within Nigeria.
“As we take UBOMI to Ibadan for the first time and return to Lagos, our focus is on extending that access responsibly and at scale. The 10,000-beneficiary target is significant, but behind every number is a person, a family and a story.”
According to Godman Akinlabi, founder and Board chair of Pistis Foundation as well as the Global Lead Pastor of the Elevation Church, “Healthcare is one of the most basic human needs, yet financial constraints and lack of adequate facilities amongst other factors continue to hamper this basic need.”
“Through Ubomi, we are expanding our impact beyond the confines of the church to reach thousands of underserved and vulnerable people with critical health services free of charge. We are grateful to the medical professionals, technical partners, volunteers, government institutions and supporters who continue to make this work possible.”
Some of the 2026 services available are, general medical consultations and health screening, laboratory investigations and diagnostic services, eye care and eye surgeries, dental care and procedures, paediatric services, obstetrics and gynaecology services, including appropriate surgical care and general surgical procedures.
Others include pharmaceutical services and prescribed medications, health education and
Referral and post-outreach support, where required.
All services free of charge to beneficiaries.
UBOMI 2026 will be delivered in partnership with The Elevation Church Ibadan and Lagos, as key Partners, Pro-Health International, the outreach’s technical partner, and the support of Medical Institutional Partners: Zenithcare Hospital Oyo State and Hospital for Trauma and Surgery (HTS Clinics) Lagos State.
