PRA Congratulates Yari on APC Campaign Appointment

The Progressive Redemption Alliance (PRA) has congratulated Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari on his reported appointment as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.

In a statement issued by its Convener, Comrade Olajide Wolimoh, the group described Yari’s appointment as an indication of the importance attached to political experience and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the election.

Wolimoh said Yari’s experience as a former governor of Zamfara State and serving senator would be useful in coordinating stakeholders and political structures during the campaign.

“The choice of Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council is both timely and inspiring. He is a tested mobiliser, a bridge-builder and a politician who understands the pulse of the Nigerian electorate across regions,” he said.

The PRA convener also congratulated other members of the campaign council and expressed the group’s readiness to support the APC’s campaign activities ahead of the 2027 election.

He said the organisation had structures and members across several states and would focus its activities on grassroots engagement and communicating the policies and programmes of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

“The PRA is not a gathering of political spectators. We are a formation with real structures and loyal followership across several states. Our members believe in politics that serves the ordinary people,” Wolimoh said.

He said the group would work with relevant APC structures to mobilise voters and engage communities during the election campaign.

Wolimoh expressed confidence that effective coordination and communication would be important to the APC’s campaign as it seeks to retain the presidency in 2027.

The PRA also wished Yari and other members of the campaign team success in their respective assignments.
