Beatrice Siyanbola Wins WeAreTheCity Rising Star Award

Beatrice Siyanbola has won the 2026 WeAreTheCity Rising Star Award in the Energy and Utilities category, in recognition of her contributions to the energy sector.
The WeAreTheCity Rising Star Awards recognise professionals below senior management and director level for their achievements and contributions across various industries.
Siyanbola, a Valuation Analyst at Shell, works on decision analysis for international energy projects across Europe and Asia, supporting investment decisions through engineering, economic and financial analysis.
Beyond her professional role, she serves on the Advisory Board of Grid-UK, where she contributes to discussions on energy infrastructure and workforce development.
She also co-authored a policy paper through the European Youth Energy Network on developing skills for young professionals in the energy sector. The paper was presented at the 2025 European Youth Energy Forum in Catania, Italy.
In addition, Siyanbola has participated in mentoring initiatives, including programmes organised by Upreach and Girls in Energy, and has spoken at industry events on engineering, leadership and the future of the energy sector.
The latest honour follows her recognition in 2025 as one of the Top 20 Black Women in the UK Energy Industry.
