Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Others Set for Mega Music Festival 2.0

The Mega Music Festival 2.0 is set to hold Friday, 12th of June 2026, by 8:00 PM at the historic Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, with the prophetic theme, “A NEW SEASON.” The night of worship will feature an array of renowned and spirit-filled worship leaders who have been specially invited to usher participants into an atmosphere of heartfelt praise, worship, and divine encounters. Among those scheduled to minister are Minister Nathaniel Bassey, Minister Dunsin Oyekan, Minister Yinka Alaseyori, Minister Bidemi Olaoba, Gospel Force, and several other anointed worship ministers whose ministries have continued to impact lives across Nigeria and beyond.

The gathering is not just a music festival or any another event on the calendar. It is a divine appointment — a highly spiritual programme designed as a night of intense prayers, heartfelt worship, prophetic declarations, and thanksgiving unto the Almighty God. Thousands of believers from across Nigeria and beyond would gather to lift one sound of worship before God and declare the beginning of a new season over lives, families, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a nation.

Shedding more light on the event, Pastor Sola Olukoya, Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the RCCG on Youth Affairs said, “As a church, we believe we have a responsibility to continually stand in the gap for our nation. We believe in the destiny of Nigeria, and we are gathering to declare a new season of hope, progress, economic restoration, security, innovation, and transformation across every sector. Our inspiration is drawn from King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20:21–22. When Judah was confronted by a great battle, Jehoshaphat raised an army of worshippers. As they began to sing and praise God, the Bible records that the Lord set ambushments against the enemies of His people, and victory was delivered supernaturally.

We also remember the story of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25–26. While they were imprisoned, they prayed and sang praises unto God. Suddenly, the prison foundations were shaken, doors were opened, and chains were broken. We believe that as Nigeria raises an altar of praise, every chain of limitation will be broken, and God will open new doors over our nation.”

However, Mega Music Festival 2.0 is not only about declaring a new season; it is also about preparing a generation to participate in that new season.
As part of this historic gathering there would be an official launch of the RCCG Young Adult and Youth Tech Fellowship, an initiative of RCCG Young Adults and Youth Affairs in conjunction with Reach4Christ.

This transformational initiative is designed to empower over 100,000 young adults and youths through an intensive four-month practical, hands-on technology training programme. The fellowship will provide world-class digital skills training, mentorship, and capacity development in areas such as: Data Analysis and Visualization, Product Development, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies as well as other future-focused technology skills. The mission is to equip young people spiritually, mentally, and professionally — giving them the tools required to access global workforce opportunities, create solutions, build enterprises, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
In addition to the worship sessions, there will be powerful moments of intercession, prayers, and prophetic declarations led by seasoned servants of God. Ministers expected to lead these sessions include Pastor J. F. Odesola, Pastor J. T. Kalejaiye, alongside other senior ministers of the gospel who will be ministering throughout the event.

A major highlight of the gathering will be the Father’s Blessing and prophetic declaration over Nigeria, which will be pronounced by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Organisers believe the event will serve as a significant platform for spiritual renewal, national intercession, and a fresh outpouring of God’s grace upon individuals, families, and the nation.
