AGEGE PARENTS FORUM APPEALS TO TINUBU OVER RETURN OF LAWMAKER

The Agege Parents Forum has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to support the return of Dr. Jubreel AbdulKareem as the representative of Agege Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In an open letter addressed to the President and signed by the Chairman of the Forum, Prince Segun Ogunsanlu, the group described the lawmaker as a grassroots politician whose performance and popularity have endeared him to the people of Agege.
According to the forum, Dr. AbdulKareem emerged with the highest legitimate votes during the recently concluded APC primary election, a development they said reflected the wishes of party members and residents of the constituency.
The group further stated that the lawmaker enjoys widespread support cutting across ethnic, religious and social lines within the community. They noted that Christians, Muslims, market leaders, traditional rulers and youths in Agege all identify strongly with his leadership style.
The forum also congratulated the legislator on his recent academic feat after successfully obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Babcock University, describing the achievement as a reflection of his commitment to knowledge and leadership.
The forum praised the legislator for executing what it described as laudable projects during his first term in office. It added that his accessibility and openness to constituents have distinguished him among political office holders in the area.
Among the achievements listed by the forum was the distribution of 5,000 JAMB forms to students in government schools across Agege, an intervention they said has expanded educational opportunities for indigent students.
The group also commended him for facilitating 1,000 Ilera Eko Health Insurance packages for residents, alongside regular health support programmes at Orile-Agege General Hospital.
In the letter, the forum highlighted several community development projects undertaken by the lawmaker, including provision of potable water, installation of solar street lights and continuous food support for vulnerable residents.
While appealing to President Tinubu to intervene in the matter, the group said granting their request would further strengthen the Renewed Hope Agenda and ensure continuity of developmental programmes already initiated within the constituency.
