Behind the glamour of red carpet appearances, nicely edited pictures, and a large social media following is a content creator shaping how Nigerian creativity is interpreted and received.
Ameera Eniola Adelekan, popularly known as Batife Bentley on Instagram and TikTok, is a Lagos-based content creator born on September 14, 2004, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Like many others, she joined social media in 2018. Despite not having the intention of being a digital content creator, her dance videos which she started posting during the lockdown of 2020 attracted considerable digital audience and engagements bringing her into the digital limelight of TikTok in 2021.
With a dint of grit and determination, she started several challenges on TikTok lip syncing and dancing to the songs of Olamide Gbenga Adedeji famously known as Olamide Baddo.
Since 2021, Bentley has evolved beyond being an online choreographer to working with creatives across the entire spectrum featuring in several music videos, skits and movies.
Her fluidity across creative genres of dance and acting all towards amplifying the Nigerian creative story has attracted collaboration with local brands looking to scale their visibility.
Part of her work portfolio include featuring alongside Taaooma, Mr. Macaroni, Sydney Talker, Shoday, Spyro, Adekunle Gold, amongst others. She was also featured in ‘Behind The Scene’, the most recent Nollywood movie of Nollywood’s trailblazer, Funke Akindele.
In 2025, she received several recognitions including: a nomination at the 8th Emperor Awards; Brand Influencer of the Year from Ranks Africa’s Best of the Year 2025 initiative; and placement among the top 100 most impactful brand influencers on the continent.
