Blackchully’s Viral Rise

In July 2025, Blackchully, 25, posted a video on TikTok – a dance video. In the video, she’s seen carrying her son and another girl dancer on her back. She’s wearing a short but not too short skirt, giving in to a TikTok sound trend sung in Hausa language. The video is simple and straightforward, yet it has been viewed more than 20 million times.

The video received positive engagement, with about 2.3 million likes, 14 thousand comments, and 17 thousand reshares. Even comedian and content creator Samkid reposted the video, and many other celebrities did too.

Ever since then, it’s just been growing from there, hugely multiplying her followers daily. Growing is putting it lightly.

Blackchully’s account has exploded in the last several months, with droves of her dance videos, and her love for promoting Hausa music, and since then, she has garnered Hausa followers. These videos are accruing thousands and millions of views and more than 12.1 million followers. On an app where going viral is relatively easy and hard too, Blackchully, in another way, has risen above many of her peers to become a star in her own right.

“It’s kind of crazy to think about it. I never thought that this would happen. Like, everyone thinks, ‘Oh, that’s so cool to get some recognition,’ but when it’s actually happening – it’s crazy to think about, ‘Why do people want to follow me? What am I doing different from everyone?’ or ‘Is it that I am special?’ It’s just crazy,” Blackchully said.

TikTok, formerly known as Musical.ly until it was acquired by the Chinese tech company ByteDance in 2017 and rebranded, is known for its ever-evolving in-jokes, lip-syncs, dance trends, and challenges. It wasn’t that formal; it wasn’t just very regular at the time.

Blackchully deep inside might not be entirely too sure why her account has exploded in popularity. Yes, she found fame, but deep inside, she might be curious and know how thankful too. But for me, I guess something in TikTok’s algorithm is working in her favor. The majority of her content showcases her passion for dancing, and big fans and celebrities always resharing her videos make her go super viral.

So many people have seen her content and see what she does, and maybe they vibe with it so hard. Maybe they’ve seen her ads videos on 1Xbet, Carding, and Cardlaxy, leading them to rock with her more. TikTok is definitely a great place to show people that talent is something that brings fame most times, and it’s very fun for people who gracefully blew up.

But while dance, lifestyle, and teaching are major components of the content created and shared on TikTok, few others have gotten the attention Blackchully has. The people who compete with her are Purple Speedy, Tiwa, Baby Pixcy, and many others. But that’s for them; for Blackchully, she’s unique in her own special way. Dozens of videos of Blackchully dancing and interviews, which were taken by TikTok users, have spread on the app.

You know, sometimes on the internet, everyone might like you. Blackchully sometimes receives hate comments and backlash. “When it comes to internet fame, trolls and hate are inevitable,” says Blackchully. Chully is trying to let us know that she’s still a person, and she’s equally dealing with the same things as us. And still trying to make the best of it.

Despite her internet fame, she’s still working on being a lot more positive in her everyday life because she’s realized comments and things can hurt. But for now, she’s decided to put her energy into her supporters rather than her detractors. And she’s in no short supply of fans.
