Nook International Fashion Weekend Unveils New Faces and Announces the 2027 Edition
Port Harcourt, Nigeria — Nook International Fashion Weekend (NIFW) closed its landmark 5th edition on a high note, unveiling two new faces — Uranta Godswill and Peace-lover Thompson — stepping into the next chapter of its growing creative vision.
Backed by the support of brands and individuals who believe in the power of fashion to transform lives, both honourees received ₦3,000,000 each, an investment not just in their careers, but in the broader empowerment of young people navigating the fashion industry.
Since its inception, NIFW has established itself as a premier platform where emerging and established designers converge to tell their stories through craft, fabric, and form. Each edition delivers a curated experience of runway presentations, style, and community — positioning Nook as a defining voice in Nigeria’s fashion conversation.
The 5th edition stayed true to that mission: championing decency in fashion, fostering creative innovation, and reinforcing fashion as both culture and advocacy. NIFW equally champions sustainability, recognising that the future of fashion must be as responsible as it is beautiful.
With momentum firmly on its side, NIFW is already preparing for the 6th edition in February 2027 — set to once again bring together its signature Model Summit, Designer’s Summit, and a series of pocket events leading up to the main event. The Model Summit remains a cornerstone of the NIFW experience, equipping models with everything they need for a thriving career — from personal hygiene and presentation to business skills and industry readiness.
Nook International Fashion Weekend continues to redefine what Nigerian fashion looks like to the world, one edition at a time.
