Edo Rep Aspirant Unveils Digital Education Scheme for 10,000 Edo Pupils
A House of Representatives aspirant in Edo State, Dr. Oghogho Taiye Garrick, has unveiled plans to sponsor 10,000 secondary school students across Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency with full access to SabiDub, a modern digital learning platform.
Garrick said the initiative forms part of his broader commitment to youth development and educational advancement in the state.
According to him, the programme is designed to equip students with relevant academic tools and digital resources needed to compete in an increasingly technology-driven world.
He noted that access to quality education remains a critical factor in national development, stressing that the SabiDub platform would provide beneficiaries with structured learning content, interactive tools, and academic support.
Garrick, a public administration expert and international business leader, brings over 18 years of professional experience spanning Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
He holds a PhD in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in Policy Analysis.
He previously served as Special Assistant in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Programmes Monitoring, where he contributed to the implementation and evaluation of national policies.
Beyond public service, Garrick has established a strong presence in the private sector. He sits on the boards of several companies across aviation, healthcare, and real estate. Notably, he founded three healthcare firms in the United Kingdom, employing over 200 people.
He reiterated that investing in education remains central to his vision for the constituency, adding that the initiative would create opportunities for young people and position them for future success.
Residents and stakeholders in the constituency are expected to benefit from the programme as preparations for its rollout reach advanced stages.
