Italian-Nigerian performer, Modola, is gearing up for a return to the spotlight with a brand-new single, ‘Kupe’, featuring BhadBOI OML.
The track, which is set to drop on April 10, 2026, marks Modola’s first release of the year. ‘Kupe’, a high-energy, dance-ready record, is an effortless blend of the eclectic styles of both Modola and BhadBOI OML. The song serves as a toast to the exuberant genre of African nightlife music as Modola continues her foray into the world of Afro-fusion.
The release of ‘Kupe’ follows a steady rise for Modola, who spent much of last year building momentum on stage. One of the standout moments came at the Olamide Live in London show, where the singer was brought out by Olamide himself. The concert, which also featured appearances by Seyi Vibez, Asake, Lil Kesh, and Darkoo, saw Modola perform in front of a capacity crowd.
Offstage, the artist has also been open about the process behind her recent records. Speaking on ‘Dynamite,’ produced by Oodun, Modola pointed to a more intentional approach to crafting songs with cross-border appeal—a direction that carries into ‘Kupe’.
With BhadBOI OML joining the mix, ‘Kupe’ arrives as a collaborative effort aimed at maintaining that momentum while setting the tone for what is shaping up to be a busy year ahead.
