Hailerz Student Community Storms UNILAG with Electrifying Talent Show

Excitement and creativity filled the air at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on March 6, 2026, as the Hailerz Student Community hosted a vibrant and high-energy talent show; its first physical event on African soil.

The showcase, held at the Madhouse Event Center, drew over 60 student participants who delivered an impressive mix of music, poetry, and dance performances. The event created a lively and competitive atmosphere as young talents took center stage to express their creativity.

Hailerz Student Community is the student arm of the US-based Hailerz Global Talent Community, founded and headquartered in Texas. While the organisation has built a strong network of university students across Africa through digital platforms, the UNILAG event marked a significant transition into physical engagement.

Participants competed across various categories, with top performers receiving prizes such as branded T-shirts, Zorkel vouchers, cash rewards, and books. Beyond the rewards, organisers emphasised the importance of providing a platform for connection, creativity, and self-expression.

The programme was coordinated by the Manager of the Hailerz Student Community, while Lolita anchored the dance segment, both ensuring a seamless and engaging experience throughout.

Speaking at the event, Founder/CEO of Zorkel, Alafia Gbadebo, urged students to stay committed to their talents. “Take your talents seriously and remain open to feedback as you grow,” he advised.

Also addressing attendees, the Founder of Hailerz Global Talent Community, Mr. Samuel, reflected on the journey behind the initiative, noting that the vision began during his student years.

“This is only the beginning. What started as a dream I carried alone has now become a shared reality, thanks to the incredible team and community that believe in it,” he said.

The organisation has revealed plans to expand its presence across more campuses, with upcoming engagements expected at the University of Abuja, University of Ilorin, University of Port Harcourt, and the University of Ghana.

Observers note that the initiative is rapidly gaining traction as a platform for student empowerment, creative expression, and talent discovery across Africa.

With its successful debut at UNILAG, the Hailerz Student Community appears poised to become a major force in the continent’s growing youth and creative space. The organisers reaffirmed their commitment to building a thriving student network, declaring that the movement has only just begun.
