250 Exhibitors, 4,500 Visitors Set for Pharma West Africa Conference

More than 250 exhibitors and 4,500 pharmaceutical industry delegates from around the world are expected to attend this year’s Pharma West Africa Conference, THISDAY has learnt.

According to the event’s organiser and Founder, BtoB Events, Jamie Hill, the three-day event will host country pavilions from China, the Government of Saint Petersburg, Turkey, Bangladesh, and Egypt with international exhibitors from India, Vietnam, Canada, the USA, the Middle East and Europe.

Now in its third year, Pharma West Africa has become a highly anticipated event for pharmaceutical stakeholders and manufacturers in the medicines value-chain across the African sub-region with this year’s event scheduled to hold from April 14th to 16th, 2026, at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking on the influence of the event on the sub-region’s pharmaceutical industry over the last three years, Hill said: “In just three years we have built a pharmaceutical trade event that will see 250 exhibitors from more than 50 countries attracting an estimated 4,500 visitors over three days.

“From local SMEs to leading global drug brands, Pharma West Africa is the only event to host such a diverse range of businesses dedicated to ensuring the supply of quality medicines to Nigeria and the West African region.

“Exhibitors appreciate the valuable interaction they have with importers and distributors who make up 43% of attendees, and the hundreds of representatives of pharmacy retail chains.”

The event, he said, has responded to the demand for local pharmaceuticals trade and the growing international interest in medicines supply.

With Nigeria’s pharmaceuticals sector expecting an estimated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.41 per cent over the next five years, the conference, he said, presents an opportunity to deepen cross continental collaboration to consolidate progress.

The conference which will runs alongside a three-day exhibition, will be chaired by the former president of the Nigerian Pharmaceutical Society and the Founder of Pharmaplus Nigeria Ltd, Pharm. Ahmed Yakasai, with presentations centered on the theme of strengthening the pharmaceutical supply chain to support medicines self-sufficiency in West Africa while examining the role of digital technology, telemedicine and Artificial intelligence on the sub-region’s pharmaceutical supply chain.
