Formerly known as Mr V.ic, “Self acclaimed best African singer “ Nigerian singer and songwriter Sabibwoi is boldly stepping into a new era, one that reflects growth, identity, and artistic evolution. Born on July 29 and hailing from Afikpo North in Ebonyi State, Sabibwoi is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting voices in Africa’s contemporary music scene.

The decision to transition from Mr V.ic to Sabibwoi marks more than just a name change, it represents rebirth, clarity of vision, and a deeper connection to his roots and sound. With a distinctive style that blends Afrobeat, rap, and global influences, Sabibwoi continues to capture audiences both locally and internationally.

His musical journey began at the age of 18, inspired by legendary and global icons such as Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe, Fela Kuti, Drake, Sarkodie, DaGrin, and Lil Wayne. Drawing from these diverse influences, he began writing rap lyrics and shaping his unique artistic voice.

By the age of 20, while studying at Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra State, he had started recording and independently releasing his own music,laying the foundation for the brand now known as Sabibwoi.

His career gained significant momentum in 2020 with the release of his breakout single “Blessings.” He followed up in 2021 with “Jeje On My Own,” further establishing himself as a promising independent act. On December 4, 2021, he released his debut seven-track EP featuring “Danger,” “Katapot,” “Oroma,” “Echo,” “Blessings,” and an acoustic version of “Blessings.” The project showcased his versatility, lyrical depth, and sonic range.

With over three years in the entertainment industry, Sabibwoi has collaborated with notable artiste like Duncan mighty, AJEBO hustlers and co.
Currently an independent artist Sabibwoi continues to expand his global footprint. With millions of streams across digital platforms including Apple Music, Boomplay, Spotify, and Audiomack, he has built a rapidly growing fan base and a strong presence in the digital music space.
