Initiative Aligned with International Women’s Day Theme: “Give to Gain”
Lagos, Nigeria, March 2026 — Bboxx, a leading provider of clean energy solutions across Africa, has partnered with ImpactHER to deliver a multi-track training programme for female entrepreneurs in celebration of Women’s Month. The initiative equipped women with hands-on technical skills and business knowledge to seize growing opportunities in Nigeria’s expanding renewable energy sector.
The training programme was structured around three core areas: financial mindset for business growth; an introduction to the solar business and how to establish a solar enterprise; and hands-on solar installation training for aspiring technicians. Together, these tracks were designed to enable participants to enter the clean energy value chain as entrepreneurs, agents, and technical professionals.
Speaking at the event, Ene Adesanya, Managing Director of Bboxx Nigeria, emphasized the critical role women play in building strong and resilient communities.
“Women are extremely important to the health and growth of any society. Across our markets, we have consistently seen that women are among the most reliable agents and entrepreneurs. Empowering them with the right knowledge and skills ultimately strengthens families, businesses, and entire communities.”
Ene Adesanya, Managing Director, Bboxx Nigeria further highlighted that statistical evidence from Bboxx’s operations across multiple markets points to women as particularly effective agents, a finding that reinforces the strategic value of gender-focused investment. Providing women with access to training and entrepreneurial pathways, she noted, is one of the most powerful levers for driving inclusive economic growth.
The collaboration is directly aligned with the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day: “Give to Gain.” By investing in women’s empowerment through both technical expertise and financial literacy, Bboxx and ImpactHER are putting this principle into practice, giving women the tools they need while simultaneously expanding the talent pool and customer base for Nigeria’s clean energy industry.
The initiative underscores Bboxx’s broader commitment to inclusive participation in the renewable energy transition and its belief that sustainable development must place women at the centre. Through partnerships like this one, Bboxx continues to advance its mission of delivering clean energy access while fostering economic resilience across communities in Nigeria and beyond.
