L’Oréal Professionnel Paris has unveiled its latest innovation, the Absolut Repair Molecular (ARM) Bi-Phase Oil, at an immersive experiential launch tagged The Repair Event, an evening dedicated to the science of professional hair repair and reaffirming its position as the authority in professional hair repair in Nigeria.

Designed to reflect the brand’s professional DNA, the event decoded the science behind professional hair repair, spotlighting the iconic Absolut Repair 10-in-1 Oil as a proven surface-repair hero, while introducing the new Absolut Repair Molecular Bi-Phase Oil for deeper, molecular repair. Together, the two products represent the “Dual Power of Repair”, delivering a complete hair transformation across all hair textures.

In attendance were hair professionals, salon owners, beauty influencers, and enthusiasts, including Erica Nlewedim, Nicole Chikwe, Inedoye Anikulapo-Kuti, Itohan Barlow, Tayo Alakija, and Sari Ajaj. Guests enjoyed an immersive, multi-sensory evening featuring a Pro Bar highlighting the fragrance notes of each product, interactive product information walls explaining the science of molecular hair repair, and a salon diagnostic area where professional stylists offered personalized consultations and touch-ups. The launch provided attendees with an in-depth exploration of how professional-grade repair solutions are designed to work across diverse hair textures, including natural and relaxed hair.

The newly introduced Absolut Repair Molecular Bi-Phase Oil is a professional oil designed to repair hair damage at a molecular level from the first use. Powered by advanced bi-phase technology, it combines a water-based phase formulated with peptides and amino acids that are small enough to penetrate deep inside the hair fibre, helping to rebuild strength from within, and an oil-based phase that coats the surface of the hair, seals split ends, controls frizz, and delivers lightweight shine without weighing hair down. Complementing this deeper repair technology, the Absolut Repair 10-in-1 Oil works on the surface of the hair to instantly nourish, smooth, protect, and improve manageability. Together, both oils provide a complete repair system tailored for the realities of textured hair and everyday styling needs.

A key highlight of the evening was a masterclass session featuring special guest Paige Lewin, author of How to Love Your Afro. The conversation explored the realities of maintaining healthy hair across different textures and lifestyles, emphasizing the importance of professional-grade repair in preserving hair strength, resilience and overall appearance. By connecting technical expertise with lived experience, the session underscored how informed care and the right formulations are critical to achieving consistently healthy-looking hair.

Speaking at the event, Karim Aoun, Commercial Director for L’Oréal Professional Products Division Sub-Saharan Africa Zone, stated, “Innovation at L’Oréal Professionnel Paris is always backed by science and validated by professionals. The Absolut Repair Molecular Bi-Phase Oil represents a new frontier in addressing hair damage, moving beyond surface treatment to molecular repair. This launch strengthens our commitment to equipping Nigerian hair professionals and everyday users with advanced solutions that deliver visible, measurable results.”

With the unveiling of the Absolut Repair Molecular Bi-Phase Oil, L’Oréal Professionnel Paris continues to elevate the standards of professional hair repair in Nigeria, delivering science-driven performance designed for both salon excellence and at-home maintenance.
