Abimbola Puddicombe, Retired Educationist and Former Lagos Director, is Dead

A retired educationist and former Director of Personnel with the Lagos State Government, Lady Abimbola Patricio Puddicombe, JP, has passed away.
Lady Puddicombe (nee Adegbola), a respected school administrator and public servant, dedicated several decades of her career to the development of education in Lagos State. She served as principal in several schools across the state, including Surulere Girls Secondary School.
She later made history as the pioneer principal of Adebola Baptist High School, Surulere, where she played a key role in establishing the institution’s academic and administrative foundation.
Born Mrs. Patricia Abimbola Puddicombe (née Adegbola), she also held several senior positions within the Lagos State education system. Her career in the civil service included roles as Zonal Director, Director of Personnel Matters, and Acting Tutor-General with the Lagos State Government.
Burial arrangements for the late educationist begin with Service of Songs and Commendation Service on Sunday, March 8 at Ereko Methodist Cathedral, Idumota, Lagos, at 1 p.m.
A Christian wake is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11 at City Mission Methodist Church, 1 Ade Thanni Street, off Tafawa Balewa Crescent, Surulere, Lagos, starting from 5 p.m.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 12 at City Mission Methodist Church, Surulere, at 10 a.m.
Lady Puddicombe is remembered for her long-standing contributions to education administration and her commitment to public service.
