Michael Okpara Varsity of Agric Business School Appoints Chika Ikenga Board Member

Chika Ikenga, Chairman Eunisell Interlinked Plc and Creator of Nigeria’s premium brand, Natures Gentle Touch, has been appointed into the Board of Directors of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Business School.
The appointment underscores Ikenga’s outstanding record of leadership, commitment to national development, and his sustained contributions to economic growth, education, and institutional strengthening in Nigeria.
The appointment was announced in a letter signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Dr. (Mrs.) Nkeiruka Mbanasor, in recognition of Ikenga’s public service roles and having positively influenced institutional strengthening and national development.
“These accomplishments align strongly with the vision of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Business School to serve as a hub for advanced learning, research, entrepreneurship development and policy dialogue that support Nigeria’s agricultural and economic sectors,” the letter read.
In his new role, Chika Ikenga joins other Board members in providing strategic guidance to support the growth and global positioning of the University’s Business School. He will contribute to the development, review and implementation of high-quality academic programmes, advise on partnerships and industry collaborations, promote best practices in governance and ethical leadership, and support the school’s mandate of “Empowering Minds, Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
Speaking on his appointment, Chika Ikenga emphasised the need for improved advanced learning in the nation’s academic institutions.
Chika Ikenga’s visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to excellence and his experience across industry, governance and enterprise development will add significant value to the Business School’s strategic direction and its mission to serve Nigeria and the wider African continent.
He has over the years, distinguished himself as a respected business leader and advocate for sustainable development.
Under his leadership, the Eunisell Group has continued to expand its footprint in industrial and specialty chemicals; oil and gas production solutions; power engineering; and consumer goods manufacturing, contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s industrial and economic landscape.
