The Noella Foundation, in partnership with FoodClique Support Initiative, has commenced its annual Ramadan feeding programme, providing 3,000 meals daily across various local government areas in Lagos State throughout the 30-day fasting period.
Now in its sixth consecutive year, the initiative continues to support families and individuals observing the holy month of Ramadan. What began during the COVID-19 pandemic as an emergency response to rising food insecurity has since evolved into a sustained seasonal outreach programme rooted in dignity, compassion and structured community support.
FoodClique Support Initiative, a registered Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to ending hunger, plays a central role in coordinating the daily distribution. The organisation supports individuals affected by food insecurity, including children, the elderly, persons living with disabilities e.t.c.
Speaking at the commencement of this year’s outreach, the Co-Founder of the Noella Foundation, Layal Tinubu, described the initiative as “a reflection of shared responsibility and the power of sustained partnership.”
“What started during one of the most challenging periods in recent history has grown into a tradition of service,” the spokesperson stated. “Ramadan is a season of sacrifice, reflection and generosity. Through our continued partnership with FoodClique, we can extend meaningful support to thousands of families across Lagos.”
The daily meal distribution spans multiple local government areas to ensure equitable access and effective coverage. Volunteers and partner teams oversee the process to maintain transparency, efficiency and accountability.
Since its launch, the Ramadan feeding initiative has impacted millions of beneficiaries, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to addressing hunger through practical, scalable and sustainable interventions.
Through its Hunger Eradication pillar, the Noella Foundation remains dedicated to advancing sustainable social development by supporting underserved communities and fostering collaborative solutions.
“This initiative is more than a feeding programme,” the Foundation added. “It is a reminder that collective goodwill can turn moments of reflection into opportunities for lasting change.”
The Noella Foundation continues to advance its mission across its core pillars of Education, Employability, Healthcare and Hunger Eradication, ensuring that impact remains both immediate and enduring.
Founded by Layal and Seyi Tinubu, the Noella Foundation was founded on the principle that transformative change is a collaborative effort. Our mission at Noella Foundation is to transform the lives of vulnerable and marginalised women, children/young adults, and the elderly in specific communities and provide lasting solutions.
Our work is centred on four core pillars: Education, Employability, Healthcare, and Hunger Eradication, which are strategically aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure our efforts contribute to a global vision for progress.
