TechUp Port Harcourt Returns for Season 6, Reinforcing Its Position as one of Niger Delta’s Biggest Tech Convergence

TechUp Port Harcourt, powered by Harvoxx Tech Hub, is set to return for its sixth edition on March 28, 2026, further reinforcing its position as one of the largest and most impactful technology events in the Niger Delta. The annual conference has become a key meeting point for technology professionals, startup founders, investors, policymakers, and young talents across the region.

Over the last five editions, TechUp Port Harcourt has recorded remarkable milestones, attracting over 5,000 physical attendees, 25,000+ virtual participants, 50+ speakers, 60+ panelists, 60 exhibiting brands, and 30+ strategic partners. The initiative has also awarded more than 400 tech scholarships, contributing significantly to digital skills development and workforce readiness in the South-South region.
Commenting on the journey so far, Stewart Ezekiel Jnr., Founder /Team Lead of Harvoxx Tech Hub, attributed the growth of the platform to vision, consistency, and sacrifice.

“TechUp Port Harcourt began as a simple idea—to create opportunities for young people in the Niger Delta. Through dedication, sacrifice, and an unwavering belief in the vision, it has grown into one of the region’s biggest tech platforms. Season 6 represents our continued commitment to building sustainable pathways for talents, founders, and innovators,” he said.

Co-founder Paul Aminigbo emphasized the importance of community and collaboration in sustaining the impact of the event.

“TechUp is driven by people who believe in growth and collaboration. From volunteers to partners and speakers, everyone plays a role in creating an environment where ideas, learning, and opportunities thrive,” Aminigbo noted.

A major highlight of the previous edition was the TechUp Port Harcourt Sponsored Tech Scholarship, which enabled over 250 young people to receive fully sponsored training in various in-demand tech skills for a period of three months. The scholarships were sponsored by individuals and organizations including Hon. Linda Stewart (Member, Rivers State House of Assembly), Eze Maximus (CEO, Win Realty), Richard Pepple (CEO, Technoville), Sokaribo Senibo (CEO, TagitUp), Ransome Ogolo, Mr. Bethel Ogundu (CEO, Adel Solutions), among others.

Beyond training and networking, TechUp Port Harcourt has continued to serve as a launchpad for startups, a visibility platform for brands, and a bridge between talents and opportunities. The event has helped many young professionals gain exposure, access mentorship, and connect with organizations shaping Africa’s digital future.

TechUp Port Harcourt Season 6 will also feature expanded sessions, strategic brand activations, startup showcases, and ecosystem-driven conversations focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation in the Niger Delta and beyond.

A major highlight of TechUp Port Harcourt Season 6 will be the unveiling of the TechUp Port Harcourt Magazine, a carefully curated publication designed to document, amplify, and celebrate the region’s growing technology ecosystem. The magazine will feature in-depth startup profiles, exclusive interviews with leading founders and industry leaders, key technology milestones from the past year, investor perspectives, grant and funding opportunities, and a dedicated Startup Asks section that connects startups directly with potential investors and strategic partners. Beyond the event, the magazine is positioned as a long-term visibility and credibility asset, with distribution planned across airports, luxury hotels, corporate offices, government institutions, and major business hubs within and outside the Niger Delta.

Reacting to the magazine launch, Stewart Ezekiel Jnr., Founder/Team Lead of Harvoxx Tech Hub, described it as a deliberate step toward ecosystem documentation and global visibility.

“We are not just building events; we are building records, narratives, and platforms that tell the true story of innovation in the Niger Delta. The TechUp Port Harcourt Magazine is our way of preserving progress, amplifying voices, and positioning our ecosystem for global relevance,” he said.

Co-founder Victor Agbenro also noted the strategic value of the publication, stating:
“The magazine gives startups and talents something beyond a moment on stage;it gives them sustained visibility in spaces where decisions, investments, and partnerships happen.”
He further highlighted the long-term ecosystem focus of the event.

“Our goal has always been beyond hosting an event. TechUp is about building structures that empower people, support startups, and strengthen the tech ecosystem for the long term,” he stated.
In further strengthening its focus on funding and growth, TechUp Port Harcourt Season 6 will feature special pitching sessions where ten carefully selected startup founders will present their products, market opportunities, and growth plans directly to investors and ecosystem stakeholders.

The session is designed to move conversations beyond theory, providing founders with direct access to capital, mentorship, and strategic partnerships while giving investors a curated view of high-potential startups emerging from the region. The initiative underscores TechUp Port Harcourt’s commitment to not just inspiration, but tangible outcomes for startups and the wider tech ecosystem.

The event is powered by Harvoxx Tech Hub, a leading technology and innovation hub in the region, and Techblit.com, the Niger Delta’s most influential tech blog, will serve as the official media partner for the 2026 edition.

As preparations intensify, TechUp Port Harcourt Season 6 is expected to deliver another high-impact experience that brings together technology, talent, and opportunity under one roof. More information about the event can be found on the official website: https://techup-ph.harvoxx.com.
