Lodum AI Banking Launches World’s First Smart Banking Experience Across WhatsApp, Telegram, Alexa and Google Speakers

A Nigerian-built financial technology platform, Lodum AI Banking, has entered the market with what it describes as the world’s first smart banking and lifestyle assistant fully embedded across conversational and voice-enabled platforms, including WhatsApp, Telegram, Amazon Alexa, Google Speakers, and other smart interfaces.

Designed and developed in Nigeria, Lodum AI Banking allows users to carry out banking transactions, manage payments, and access lifestyle services simply by chatting or speaking—without downloading a mobile application or navigating complex banking menus. The platform represents a shift toward “smart banking,” where financial services live directly inside everyday communication tools.

Founded by filmmaker and technology entrepreneur Kabiesi Ademola, Lodum AI Banking combines digital banking, personal assistance, and lifestyle support into a single conversational experience. Through WhatsApp and Telegram, users can buy airtime and data, pay electricity and television bills, make transfers, purchase airline tickets, track spending, and receive intelligent reminders. Integration with voice assistants such as Alexa and Google Speakers further enables hands-free interaction, expanding access beyond traditional screens.

Unlike conventional fintech platforms that rely on standalone mobile apps, USSD codes, or rigid user flows, Lodum AI Banking operates through natural language conversation, allowing users to “talk to their bank” in plain language or voice commands. The company says this approach directly addresses long-standing frustrations around banking queues, delayed USSD sessions, app overload, and complex digital interfaces.

Early usage data released by the development team shows that more than 85 per cent of initial users report positive experiences, frequently describing the service as fast, intuitive, and refreshingly human. Many users highlight the convenience of handling multiple financial and lifestyle needs from a single chat interface.

Speaking on the vision behind the platform, Ademola said Lodum AI Banking was built to “bring everyday banking and personal support into the same spaces where people already spend their time communicating.” According to him, the product reflects a broader shift from app-centric banking to embedded, conversational financial services powered by artificial intelligence.

Industry observers note that while conversational banking is gaining global momentum, Lodum AI Banking is among the first platforms worldwide to unify messaging apps, voice assistants, payments, ticketing, and lifestyle support into a single smart banking ecosystem, with Nigeria serving as its launch market.

With growing adoption and strong early feedback, Lodum AI Banking is positioning itself as a notable new entrant in Africa’s rapidly evolving fintech and artificial intelligence landscape. The company says additional features, integrations, and strategic partnerships are expected to roll out in the coming months.
