Samsix Thrills Music Lovers at Kizz Daniel Live in Lagos
The 2025 “Detty December” season reached its peak on Saturday night, December 27, as the Eko Convention Centre transformed into a sanctuary of Afrobeats for the highly anticipated “Kizz Daniel Live in Lagos.”
While the night belonged to the “Vado” himself, the atmosphere shifted gear when rising star Samsix took the stage, delivering a high-octane performance that left the star-studded audience in awe.
Stepping onto a platform of this magnitude, sharing the spotlight with one of Africa’s most consistent hitmakers, is a litmus test for any emerging artist. Samsix, however, bypassed the nerves with a veteran’s poise.
“What was going through my mind at the time was simple: ‘Kill it!’” Samsix stated in a post-performance interview. “I don’t like to overthink before performing; I leave everything behind before I step on the big stage.”
The energy was palpable. As he moved across the stage, the connection with the music lovers in attendance was instantaneous.
Reflecting on the night, the artist noted that the audience’s vibration made it one of his most memorable outings to date. “The vibe was definitely one of my best shows so far and also one to remember,” he added.
Samsix was notably intentional about his musical choices for the night. Amidst the sea of fans at Eko Hotel, he chose to lead with his latest hit single, “Cost.” The decision was strategic; “Cost” is currently enjoying a meteoric rise in streaming numbers, and the live performance served as a powerful catalyst for the track’s momentum. By delivering a polished, high-energy rendition of his most recent work, Samsix ensured that his brand remained top-of-mind for the thousands of music lovers and industry scouts in the room.
The roar of approval that followed his set was not a matter of luck, but the result of a deep-rooted dedication to his craft.
“The feedback I got for the performance was amazing… I was able to hear the audience cheering after my performance was over, meaning they liked it,” Samsix shared. “As far as my confidence, I’ve been prepared for this moment. I’ve been working and training as an artist for many years, and I am looking forward to tackling any stage.”
As Lagos winds down its festive calendar, the name Samsix is ringing louder than ever. On a night designed for superstars, he proved he isn’t just a guest; he’s a contender for the throne.
