Why They Call Me the “King of Logistics” — Samuel Isong

Samuel Isong knows the Nigerian entertainment industry does not just run on talent. It runs on timing, precision, and the people who make sure the show goes on. “I spent several years in the entertainment space, and I noticed something missing, especially when it came to image and perception,” he said. “Many artists could not afford decent transportation, and it affected how they were received. I always wanted to build something within the entertainment ecosystem.”

After leaving artist management, including working with Ini Edo, Mr 2Kay, Isong decided to launch a logistics company. “At the time, logistics was not being handled properly in the industry,” he said. “I began researching touring logistics, promotions, business development. I wanted to provide talents with premium transportation, even if they could not afford luxury cars, so they could still feel confident and valued.”

Encouraged by a friend, he officially started Ride With Me Logistics. “It was challenging at first,” he admitted. “But I had always wanted to service the entertainment space with something of my own. Most talent managers work behind the scenes and are rarely seen. I wanted to build something original, something I could own. And today, I am proud to say we are doing amazingly well.”

The company has handled nearly every major tour in Nigeria this year, including Jameson City Takeover, Martell House, Hennessy Artistry events, Odumodublvck and CKay’s campus tours, and Davido’s 5ive Album Tour. “The CEO of Chocolate City, Abuchi Peter Ugwu, actually gave me the name ‘King of Logistics’ after a project we handled,” Isong said. “He smiled and said, ‘It’s like you are a king in this business.’

Over time, other clients started calling me number one, and a friend from Davido’s camp called me Agba, meaning a senior or someone with experience.”

For Isong, the work is as important as the recognition. “Integrity has always been my identity,” he said. “If I say A, then A is A. Our drivers are our real MVPs. If you do not take care of them, you ruin the job. They are the backbone of logistics.”

Through consistent execution, attention to detail, and respect for the people behind the scenes, Samuel Isong has become the go-to logistics expert for Nigeria’s entertainment and corporate events.
