2026 IFPD General Assembly to Unite African and Global Leaders in Peace and Diplomacy
The International Forum for Peace and Diplomacy (IFPD) has officially announced its upcoming General Assembly scheduled for 2026, an important global gathering that will bring together Executive Members and stakeholders from 17 African nations and across the world.
The General Assembly will serve as a strategic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and policy alignment on peacebuilding, diplomacy, sustainable development, and international cooperation. It is expected to strengthen multilateral partnerships and reaffirm Africa’s growing voice in global diplomatic affairs.
Speaking ahead of the Assembly, the Director General of IFPD, Ambassador Adeniran Michael Timothy, warmly welcomed all Executive Members and partners, emphasizing the significance of unity and shared responsibility in advancing peace and diplomacy.
“The 2026 IFPD General Assembly represents more than a meeting; it is a collective commitment to peace, strategic diplomacy, and sustainable global development. We look forward to welcoming our Executive Members, partners, and stakeholders as we chart a progressive path forward together,” Ambassador Timothy stated.
He further highlighted IFPD’s expanding global footprint and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to inclusive participation, noting that IFPD membership remains open for enrollment to qualified professionals, diplomats, policymakers, and peace advocates who share the Forum’s vision.
The 2026 General Assembly is anticipated to feature high-level discussions, policy sessions, diplomatic networking, and institutional milestones that will further position IFPD as a leading platform for peace and diplomacy across Africa and beyond.
