RESH FOUNDATION LAUNCHES FREE AMBULANCE SERVICE IN RIVERS STATE TO RESCUE ACCIDENT VICTIMS

Rescue and support the helpless Foundation (RESH FOUNDATION) in partnership with OPM foundation have today 10th December 2025 launched free ambulance service in Rivers State to rescue accident victims

Addressing the newsmen in Port Harcourt during the launching ceremony, the chairman of the Foundation, HRM King Apostle Dr Chibuzor Gift Chinyere says, the initiative was borne out of the desire to save lives especially the helpless accident victims.

“Due to the rate at which accident victims are abandoned on the road especially if it is a case of hit and run made me launch this free ambulance”

RESH Foundation Chairman, Dr Chibuzor says that most accidents victims die due to lack of emergency response such as ambulance service which can easily convey the victims to the hospital for emergency treatment. He said that lack of emergency response can worsen the situation leading to preventable death.

“There should be an Emergency Response. Delays in emergency response and inadequate medical facilities further exacerbate the situation, leading to preventable deaths”

He also said that good Samaritans hardly assist accident victims for fear of being held responsible especially when the victims die.

” Many good Samaritans are hesitant from assisting because they might be held back by the hospital especially if the accident victim dies”

He has concluded plans to deposit some money to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) where he had collaboration on a monthly basis for First Aid treatment to save accident victims from dying.
The chairman of RESH FOUNDATION further explained that RESH FOUNDATION will pay for first aid service to secure the life of the accident victims before contacting the family to take over From there.

” After the First Aid, we will contact the family who will now take over from there”

He announced that the public should make a selfie video anywhere they see abandoned accident victims in Rivers State stating your name, location and the date of that day and send to this dedicated line 08033385271, the driver will immediately respond and convey the victim to UPTH.

” Once you see any abandoned accident victim, Make a selfie video stating your name, location and date them send it to the dedicated line” he said. Adding that The service is 100% Free.
