Dr. Emem Aniekanabasi Alban Participates in ILMMD MCPDE Leadership Conference: “Leaders Beyond the Norm”

Abuja, Nigeria — Dr. Emem Aniekanabasi Alban, a Platinum Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership, Management and Manpower Development (ILMMD), joined distinguished national leaders, policymakers, and global development representatives at the 2025 Mandatory Continuous Professional Development & Education (MCPDE) Leadership Conference and Colloquium held on December 5, 2025 in Abuja. The conference, themed “Leaders Beyond the Norm,” is part of ILMMD’s national leadership program designed to strengthen ethical governance, institutional excellence, and transformative leadership across Nigeria and beyond .

Convened by Dr. Theophilus Cornerstone, Director of Membership Services, ILMMD, the conference brought together eminent thought leaders and practitioners to address key issues shaping Nigeria’s leadership landscape, democracy, productivity, and corporate governance. The MCPDE program forms a critical part of ILMMD’s statutory commitment to continuous leadership development and member capacity enhancement.

High-Level Dignitaries and Special Recognitions

The event recorded strong representation from the nation’s leadership ecosystem, including:
• The Minister of Education, who attended via an official representative 
• The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, represented at the event 
• Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, among other eminent speakers and senior professionals 
• Dr. Ahmed Wasiu, Deputy Head of Missions, United Nations Nigeria, inducted as an Eminent Fellow of the Institute
• The Family of Late Alhaji Alhassan Aminu Dantata, honoured posthumously for his remarkable leadership legacy and contributions to Nigeria

The recognition bestowed upon the late Alhaji Dantata underscored ILMMD’s commitment to celebrating individuals whose leadership footprints have significantly shaped Nigeria’s socio-economic landscape.
