Olayinka Abiodun: A Rising Force in Nigeria’s Tech Ecosystem

By Prince Ansa

As technology and innovation in Nigeria continue to evolve, Olayinka Abiodun stands out as a developer, facilitator, and innovation advocate whose work is accelerating growth in both talent development and digital product engineering. With a background that blends technical expertise, community leadership, and ecosystem coordination, he has emerged as one of the young professionals strengthening the country’s digital capacity.

Olayinka currently serves as a Facilitator in the Federal Ministry of Digital Economy and NITDA’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme, where he has trained more than 110 fellows in Ogun State in practical software development, version control, and modern frontend engineering. Beyond instruction, he works with facilitators across Nigeria to refine curriculum standards and enhance learning outcomes — contributing to the government’s mission of building a globally competitive tech workforce.

His influence also extends into ecosystem development. As a Cluster Team Lead within the Ogun Tech Community (OTC), he plays an active role in mobilizing developers, coordinating innovation clusters, and fostering collaboration among tech hubs, startups, and public-sector stakeholders. His work supports the state’s growing adoption of digital tools and innovation-driven initiatives.

Professionally, Olayinka is known for his engineering excellence. At Grazac Technology, he develops scalable, high-performance web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript, achieving measurable improvements in accessibility, load speed, and workflow efficiency. His ability to build reusable UI systems, manage global state, and collaborate with international teams has made him a key contributor to multiple cross-platform projects. He also mentors junior engineers and introduced structured code-review systems that significantly improved product consistency and maintainability.

His innovative drive is also evident in his work as the Founding Software Developer at Prooval (formerly HackTheJobs) — a mentorship and digital monetization platform enabling professionals to host sessions, sell digital products, and run webinars. He led the platform’s frontend architecture, internationalization features, and user experience design, contributing to its expansion into more than five countries. His leadership in product direction helped position Prooval as an emerging hub for creators and coaches across Africa and beyond.

Olayinka’s commitment to talent development extends into education. Through Grazac Academy, he has trained over 50 developers in React.js, TypeScript, and Next.js, guiding learners through hands-on projects that have helped many secure employment or freelance opportunities within months.

His portfolio reflects a broader commitment to developing practical, user-centered digital solutions. Across multiple platforms and engineering projects, he consistently integrates modern development practices with problem-solving that addresses real community and organizational needs. His work spans systems that improve accessibility, tools that support digital engagement, and platforms capable of serving large-scale events and institutions — all reflecting his dedication to creating impactful, scalable technology.

Despite his strong engineering background, Olayinka’s academic foundation began in Accounting at Ajayi Crowther University, complemented by professional certifications including ACA and Chartered Manager status. This multidisciplinary expertise gives him a rare combination of technical depth, financial understanding, and leadership capability — strengthening his ability to build sustainable, well-structured digital solutions.

Today, Olayinka Abiodun represents a generation of young Nigerian technologists driving innovation, capacity-building, and digital advancement. Through his work in engineering, mentorship, and ecosystem development, he continues to open doors for emerging talent while contributing to Nigeria’s broader vision for a thriving digital economy.
