Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation Partners FG to Boost Digital Skills for Civil Servants
The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has teamed up with the federal government to strengthen digital capacity across the Civil Service, launching a programme designed to modernise public service delivery and improve efficiency nationwide.
The initiative, delivered in partnership with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) and Coronation Group, aims to equip civil servants with the practical digital skills needed to drive smarter, technology-enabled governance.
Announced in a statement yesterday by Eniola Olowu, Deputy Director of Programmes at the Foundation, the training targets outdated work processes and the low digital proficiency that still hinder service delivery in many Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
The organisers said the goal was to help civil servants adopt tools that support automation, data-driven decision-making, and improved collaboration for faster, more transparent public service.
The programme focuses on four key areas: Microsoft Office productivity tools, cloud collaboration and communication, enterprise systems, and digital workplace readiness.
Participants, it said, will learn to sharpen documentation accuracy, strengthen teamwork through cloud-based platforms, and improve workflow efficiency using Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools. These systems are expected to enhance data accessibility and help MDAs deliver quicker, more responsive services to citizens.
Speaking on the significance of the intervention Olowu said: Digitalisation is central to building a modern, efficient, and citizen-centred Civil Service. Through this initiative, we are empowering civil servants with practical digital skills that will enable smarter decision-making, improve accountability, and ultimately enhance public service delivery.
She noted that the foundations work aligns with the federal governments broader digitalisation drive, including the rollout of the Enterprise Content Management System under the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP25).
Coronation Group, one of the partners, also underscored the value of the collaboration. Ngozi Akinyele, the companys Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, said: At Coronation, we recognise that a vibrant private sector thrives on the foundation of an efficient public service.
By supporting this digital upskilling initiative, we are contributing to the creation of a more effective and transparent governance environment, one that enables investor confidence, accelerates business growth, and drives sustainable economic progress. This partnership reflects our commitment to nation-building through impactful, long-term investments in people and institutions.
The training is being delivered by the Wootlab Foundation in Abuja and will cover 500 civil servants drawn from the Federal Ministry of Justice, the Federal Civil Service Commission, and the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment. Both directorate and mid-level officers will receive hands-on instruction in digital collaboration tools, workflow automation, and document management.
According to the partners, the initiative reinforces the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundations mission to strengthen public sector performance through innovation, while supporting Coronation Groups sustainability commitments centred on social impact, inclusion, and good governance.
