HoganHost Secures ZARC Accreditation as It Advances Its FreeDNS and Cloud Expansion Strategy

HoganHost is making major strides in Africa’s internet infrastructure. The company recently unveiled its FreeDNS service, a completely free DNS management tool for developers, businesses, and everyday users. This move underscores HoganHost’s mission to break down technical and financial barriers, giving anyone the power to manage DNS records—A, MX, CNAME, TXT—from a clean, intuitive control panel

Now, HoganHost is adding another powerful piece to its infrastructure puzzle: official accreditation as a ZARC registrar. This gives HoganHost direct access to South Africa’s .ZA domain registry, signaling its ambition to deepen roots and influence across the African digital landscape.

These developments are part of a broader, long-term plan at HoganHost. Building on its recent strategic partnership with DigitalOcean, HoganHost is pushing forward with its “Africa Cloud Hosting Movement 2026.”

Through this initiative, HoganHost aims to deploy cloud infrastructure tailored for African developers and businesses—offering lower latency, faster provisioning, and cost-effective scalability.

Leading the drive are HoganHost’s co-founders, Joseph Effiok Hogan and Atim Hogan, whose vision centers on making professional-grade web services accessible across Africa. Their leadership has consistently pushed the company into innovation: from offering free SSL and ultra-affordable hosting packages to building advanced tools like FreeDNS.

“As we roll out FreeDNS and become a ZARC-accredited registrar, we’re delivering on our promise to equip Africans with the best internet infrastructure—locally run, globally competitive,” the duo shared in a joint statement.

HoganHost is clearly not just keeping pace with changes in cloud and domain technology — it’s helping set the pace. With its growing registry capabilities, domain-management tools, and cloud plans, the company is positioning itself as a pillar of Africa’s web future.
