From Ihiala to Lagos, the Rise of CME Autos Founder, Orisakwe Augustine
By Ugo Aliogo
Every so often, a story surfaces that reminds us how vision, grit, and a little faith can turn a simple dream into a brand name known across borders. For Orisakwe Augustine Chizuruoke, widely known as China Made Easy Autos (CME Autos) which is based in Lagos, that story is still unfolding and it’s already inspiring many.
Born and raised in Ihiala, Anambra State, Augustine’s early life was grounded in education and persistence. From Umuhu Migrant Farmers School to Community Secondary School, Ihiala, he built the foundation that later supported his journey into entrepreneurship. After earning a degree from Michael Okpara University, he set his sights on fixing a real problem, the inflated cost of cars in Nigeria.
In 2025, he officially founded CME Autos, first sourcing vehicles directly from China to cut out middlemen, then establishing his headquarters in Lagos. What started as a cost-saving mission has become a trusted brand for affordable, exotic, and reliable vehicles.
Beyond business, CME Autos thrives online. With a following of 40,390 on Instagram, Augustine has built a digital showroom where enthusiasts explore the latest arrivals and deals. His partnership with influencers like B.Lord has only amplified his reach and credibility.
Looking ahead, Augustine envisions expanding CME Autos into multiple Nigerian states and eventually, beyond Africa. His admiration for pioneers such as Abuja Cars and Lekki Luxury Cars continues to shape his approach: integrity first, customer satisfaction always.
From the quiet streets of Ihiala to the vibrant auto scene in Lagos, Orisakwe Augustine’s journey is proof that passion, honesty, and innovation can drive more than just cars, they can drive change.
