For 20 years, RED | For Africa, a premier public relations and strategic communications agency, has been redefining the African media landscape through bold storytelling and impact-driven nation-building. Now the company will commemorate two decades of cultural influence with the second edition of The RED Summit, themed “From Founders to Future.
Scheduled for November 6, 2025, the invite-only summit will gather Africa’s foremost media leaders, founders, CEOs, and executives. Hosted by renowned media personality Babajide Guerrero, the summit will be held in Lagos.
Since its inception, RED | For Africa has built some of the continent’s most influential media platforms and campaigns. From amplifying the youth with YNaija to advancing policy and governance conversations through StateCraft Inc. and celebrating excellence and innovation through The Future Project, the company has been pivotal in shaping the African communications landscape.
As RED turns 20, this summit offers a unique chance to explore what it takes to stay relevant, trusted, and impactful over two decades. The RED Summit will begin with an intimate fireside conversation between co-founders Chude Jideonwo and Adebola Williams on the company’s evolution from a personality-driven enterprise into a purpose-led institution.
The summit will feature a compelling keynote series, “The Succession Council”, featuring Biodun Shobanjo and other industry mavens, sharing insights on legacy, governance, and scale. Attendees can expect panels that explore leadership renewal and legacy-building from multiple angles, including the Second Generation CEO Panel with Olushola Olaleye, Ayodeji Razaq, and Debbie Larry-Izamoje, on scaling and sustaining growth; the RED Alumni Panel, “Built by RED”, hosted by communication expert Brukeme Dickson; as well as the Contemporary Media Mavericks Panel with Tosin Ajibade, Folagade Banks, Temisan Emmanuel, and Olufemi Oguntamu, examining how creators are reshaping influence in the new media era.
Speaking on the highly anticipated event, RED l For Africa CEO, Ayodeji Razaq, stated, “As RED turns 20, we are reminded that our story has always been about more than media; it has been about building something that lasts. This summit is our way of honouring not just where we started, but those who paved the way, shaped the culture, and showed us what is possible. We stand on the strength of those who believed before the world did, and as we look to the future, we do so with gratitude, purpose, and a renewed commitment to building institutions that will outlive us.”
The RED Summit 2025 is not just a celebration of past achievements but also a critical moment for forecasting the future of media for the next generation. It will set the stage for the 19th edition of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA), the continent’s most anticipated celebration of youth excellence and innovation. Together, these milestone events will honour RED’s legacy while spotlighting the next generation of African leaders and storytellers shaping the future.
