Whitecrust staff embark on community service, clean four major markets

Staff of Whitecrust, a leading investment and finance company, have cleaned four major markets across Nigeria as part of activities to commemorate Whitecrust Day for Change and Customer Service Week 2025.

The initiative, a cornerstone of Whitecrust’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, saw employees from various locations collaborate to remove debris, clear drainage systems, and promote sustainable waste disposal practices.

The community service drive focused on cleaning and waste management at Ojota and Agege markets in Lagos State, Gbagi market in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Elekahia Morning Market in Port Harcourt.

Whitecrust’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr. Kingsley Eremionkhale, who led the cleaning, noted that the goal was to create healthier, safer, and more hygienic trading environments for thousands of Nigerians.

He also expressed profound pride in the staff’s commitment, saying, “Whitecrust Day for Change is more than just a single day of service; it’s a reflection of our core belief that true corporate growth is inseparable from community welfare.

“Witnessing our staff passionately clean four diverse locations—from the bustling lanes of Agege and Ojota, Lagos to the vibrant stalls of Port Harcourt—shows our dedication to making tangible, positive impact. We aren’t just selling products; we are investing in the health and dignity of the communities that host us.”

The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Damilola Awosanya, noted that the company plans to expand the scope and reach of the initiative in the coming year, reinforcing its long-term pledge to environmental sustainability and public health across Nigeria.

“Our focus remains squarely on operational excellence and sustainable growth, ensuring that every part of our organisation works seamlessly to deliver exceptional value for our clients and stakeholders,” she added.

During the Customer Service Week, the company held a series of engaging programmes like debate and seminar in
effective customer service, treasure hunt, sporting games, and a glamorous traditional day.

Some staff of the company were also commended for their outstanding customer service skills.
