UK Leadership conference to spotlight innovation, sustainability in global business

The Centre for Leadership and Empowerment (CLE) at the University of Greater Manchester, United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Global and Sustainable Business Futures of the University of Bradford and Shelnspires Foundation is set to host a Joint Conference on Empowering Leaders for Global Contemporary Businesses (ELGCB 2025).

Scheduled to take place from October 27 to 29, 2025, at the University of Greater Manchester, the conference will bring together thought leaders, academics, and professionals from around the world to discuss innovative approaches to leadership amid the complexities of global business.

According to the co-organiser, Professor Christian Harrison “the three-day event will provide a platform for delegates to explore contemporary leadership models that foster inclusivity, sustainability, and growth in an evolving global economy. It will also feature interactive sessions, social activities, networking opportunities, and a gala dinner.”

One of the confirmed speakers for the event is Jack Farren, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rural Inclusion, a UK-based social enterprise that empowers rural communities across seven countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.

Jack, an award-winning social entrepreneur with vast experience in international development, finance, and educational technology, leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to designing training and research initiatives that strengthen resilience among smallholder farmers, micro-entrepreneurs, refugees, and host communities.

Speaking on the forthcoming conference, Professor Christian Harrison described it as “an inspiring convergence of ideas designed to empower leaders to navigate global business realities with innovation, empathy, and purpose.”
