Organic Garden Ltd Champions Nigeria’s Wellness Revolution with Locally Sourced Premium Teas

As Nigeria’s Beverage Industry has continued to expand with the space welcoming more new products, consumers are gradually shifting to more natural choices that are not only refreshing but beneficial to their health and well-being.

This shift, coupled with increasing awareness about preventive healthcare, has created a huge opportunity for more Naija-made brands that prioritise not just quality in their beverages, but also sustainability. One brand leading this revolution is Organic Garden Ltd, a proudly Nigerian company setting the pace with its unique and premium tea blends and commitment to empowering local farmers.

Founded in January 2020; a pivotal year when the world turned to natural remedies in the heat of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Organic Garden began from the Founder’s personal desire to bring powerful benefits from natural ingredients to a wider audience.

Managing Director, Organic Gardens Ltd, Abimbola Ige, said the company began out of her admiration for the remedial power found in natural foods. “Organic Garden was inspired by the power of nature. As a lifelong tea lover, I began each day with a cup of tea not just for the taste, but to explore the health benefits hidden in natural foods.

“I realised that every natural ingredient in our kitchen carries its own wellness potential, and that sparked a passion to share these wonders with others. The idea of Organic Garden emerged from this discovery: a belief in nature’s ability to nurture, heal, and sustain us,” said Ige.

Ige believes that Organic Gardens is set apart in the competitive wellness market through its dedication to quality without compromise. “Our teas begin with a commitment to quality and health. We carefully select the finest leaves and blend them to bring out natural flavor, without any artificial preservatives.

“Every cup is a celebration of nature’s gifts, designed to support your daily wellness. In addition, our eco-friendly tea bags are biodegradable, reflecting our responsibility to the environment. With Organic Garden, you get a pure, enjoyable tea experience that respects your body and the planet,” she said.

Ige maintained that the brand’s commitment to local sourcing forms the backbone of its operations, with a significant portion of ingredients sourced directly from Nigerian farmers across the country. “We collaborate closely with local farmers to ensure consistent quality, fair pricing, and timely supply. Some spices, such as Star Anise and Cardamom, are not grown in Nigeria and are responsibly sourced from trusted suppliers abroad. When used, they are selected for quality and flavor consistency, and we aim to incorporate them in ways that complement our locally sourced ingredients,”

Currently, Organic Garden offers an impressive portfolio of eight distinct blends, including their flagship Tangy Berry Hibiscus varieties, Soursop Tea, Meno Delight Tea, Soothing Snooze, My Masala Chai, Vanilla Elegance, and Cobalt Serenitea, with each blend targeting specific wellness needs and giving great flavor profiles that appeal to different consumer preferences.
Ige noted that Organic Garden is actively exploring international expansion opportunities, conducting market research and pilot testing to take their Nigerian-made teas on to a global stage: “We’re currently conducting market research and pilot testing in a few regions to determine the best fit.”
