Atinuda 5.0 Summit to Spotlight Africa’s Creative Transformation in Lagos
Africa’s creative economy will once again take the spotlight as Atinuda 5.0, one of the continent’s most anticipated gatherings of innovators, returns to Lagos on 7 and 8, October, 2025, with the theme “From Local to Global – Creative Transformations.”
In a statement by the organisers, it was noted that the two-day Summit billed to hold at Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagoa is expected to draw designers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and storytellers from across the continent to explore new pathways for African creatives to achieve global recognition while staying true to their cultural roots.
The statement also noted that now in its fifth edition, Atinuda has evolved from a mere conference into a creative movement. It has become a hub for mentorship, funding access, and business linkages, fostering a new generation of African innovators who are reimagining creativity as both art and enterprise.
Speaking at a press briefing ahead of the event which featured over 20 speakers addressing key issues in the creative sector—the founder and convener, Mrs. Ayiri Oladunmoye, described Atinuda 5.0 as “a defining moment for Africa’s creative industries.”
Oladunmoye said: “Africa’s creators are no longer content with being local champions. They are building global brands, telling stories that resonate universally, and creating innovations that drive change. Atinuda 5.0 is about connecting those dots and equipping creatives with tools to thrive internationally.”
This year’s edition will focus on the intersections of creativity, business, and policy—exploring how storytelling, branding, and cross-border collaboration can transform local art into global enterprise. The programme will also feature networking sessions designed to turn inspiration into practical growth opportunities.
A major highlight is the Creative Pitch Initiative, an empowerment platform where young entrepreneurs and designers will compete for grants and strategic partnerships to scale their ventures. The initiative reinforces Atinuda’s reputation for turning creativity into measurable impact.
“We want every participant to leave with not just ideas but opportunities—new skills, meaningful connections, and the confidence to take their craft beyond borders,” Oladunmoye said.
Already in the country for the conference include participants from the United States, South Africa, Ghana, and many other African countries, with discussions spotlighting the roles of women and youth in shaping Africa’s creative economy. Experts will examine emerging trends in design, media, and technology while highlighting how innovation and digital transformation are redefining Africa’s creative landscape.
Since its inception, Atinuda has promoted collaboration and excellence, building a thriving ecosystem where creativity meets commerce. Expectations are high that this fifth edition will further cement its legacy as a platform showcasing Africa’s transformation from a hub of raw talent to a powerhouse of global innovation.
