BAN International Pays N476m to Families of Deceased Members
Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN) International has paid N476 million to 28 families of deceased members, with each family receiving over N17million.
The Global President BAN International, Dr Anthony Mark presented cheques to each family, saying the gesture was a testament to the organisation’s commitment to supporting members and their families, even beyond their time with the group.
Mark explained that BAN, guided by core principle of ‘Brother Deliver Brother’ simply means – “all for one, and one for all,” hence the necessity to stand in solidarity with the families of 28 departed brothers from the group untimely.
The president said:” The untimely passing of our brothers leaves a void that can never be filled especially in their families, but our hearts remain with their loved ones, and we grieve deeply for the loss of these brothers who were taken from us too soon.
“In recognition of their sacrifices, contributions, and unwavering commitment to our brotherhood, we’re providing welfare benefits exceeding N17 million per family, to be disbursed in batches.
This gesture reflects our profound gratitude for their service and our pledge to never abandon a brother, in life or death.”
Mark further explained that as Christmas approaches, the group would extend its annual yuletide welfare packages to all families of deceased members, aiming to ease their financial pressures and ensure that no family is left out of the celebrations.
His words:” Notably, this is not the first time we are showing support to families of deceased members. Early last December, the organisation had demonstrated its commitment by paying out almost N90 million spread across the families of six members who had passed on which amounted to almost N15 million given to each of the families.”This gesture demonstrates the brotherhood’s appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions of its late members and provides vital support to the families during a difficult time.
Beyond these gestures, Brothers Across Nigeria International also prioritised health campaigns to sensitise its members and the community to the merits of periodic medical checks.
“Led by our dedicated medical committee, this initiative aligns with our Bereavement Program and serves as a value provider to our members in different chapters all over the world.
“Brothers Across Nigeria International extends its deepest condolences to the families of our departed brothers, with gratitude for the lives shared and the memories entrusted to our brotherhood. “
