Orange Group Launches ‘My Hairitage’ Campaign to Honor Afro Pride on World Afro Day 2025

Orange Group, one of West Africa’s foremost FMCG companies, has announced the launch of its “My Hairitage” campaign in commemoration of World Afro Day 2025.

This initiative is a tribute to Afro-textured hair as a cultural symbol of identity, beauty, and resilience, encouraging Nigerians to embrace their natural hair with pride and confidence.

For centuries, African hair has carried meanings far beyond aesthetics. From intricate braids that reflected family lineage and community ties to protective styles that revealed both creativity and endurance, Afro hair has always been a rich canvas of tradition and individuality.

The My Hairitage campaign seeks to honor this heritage while sparking conversations that celebrate Afro hair in all its versatility and strength.

Speaking about the initiative, Uchenna Ezenna, Media and Communications Director of Orange Group, explained: “World Afro Day is about celebrating the uniqueness of African hair and the culture it stands for. Through the My Hairitage campaign, we are joining this global recognition by creating conversations that uplift, empower, and encourage pride in our natural roots.”

At the center of the campaign is the #MyHairitage social media challenge, designed to foster community engagement.

Nigerians are invited to share their styling routines, hair care practices, and personal hair journeys, showcasing the beauty of Afro hair in its many forms.

The challenge will be amplified by influencers, natural hair advocates, and everyday individuals, while also featuring educational content on scalp care, hair health, and the cultural relevance of natural hair traditions.

Anchoring the campaign is Hana Hair Cream, one of Orange Group’s most trusted products in hair care.

Known for its nourishing and strengthening properties, Hana Hair Cream provides reliable support for natural hair, whether in daily maintenance or protective styling.

With a formulation that promotes both health and shine, it helps users confidently showcase their natural hair while ensuring it remains strong and vibrant.

Through My Hairitage, Orange Group is reaffirming its commitment not only to delivering quality and affordable consumer products but also to promoting cultural pride and identity.

By celebrating Afro hair, the company underscores that beauty is deeply connected to heritage, empowerment, and authenticity.
