With ‘Jeni & Keni’, We’re Building Africa’s Footprint in Global EdTech, Says Emeka Erem
With the aim of positioning African storytelling as a leading force in global education and technology, House of Ajebo Animation Studios has officially relaunched its children’s learning franchise, ‘Jeni & Keni’.
The relaunch, held on Saturday, August 16, unveiled the upgraded ‘Jeni & Keni’ series, now powered by international-grade 3D animation, immersive sound design, and digital-first distribution across YouTube and the franchise’s official platform (www.jeniandkeni.com).
Speaking at the relaunch, founder and Creative Director, House of Ajebo, Emeka Erem, a pioneer in African animation since 2012—explained the vision, saying that the overarching goal of relaunching ‘Jeni & Keni’ in 3D is to establish Africa’s footprint in the global EdTech ecosystem.
“Our goal is to deliver scalable, export-ready content that makes African kids proud of who they are, while giving the world a new lens on our culture,” he said.
At its core, the franchise targets children ages 0–6, blending storytelling, music, and gamified learning to shape young minds during their formative years.
Co-founder Uchenna Erem emphasised the series’ role in global culture noting that heyond the episodes, House of Ajebo is expanding ‘Jeni & Keni’ into a full children’s ecosystem, featuring interactive folktales, educational games, and Afrobeat-inspired, age-appropriate music.
“We are at a unique moment where Afrobeats, Nollywood, and African innovation are shaping global conversations. ‘Jeni & Keni’ sits at that intersection—an animation platform powered by tech, rooted in culture, and designed for global scalability,” she said.
She further stated that with its innovative 3D pipeline, strong cultural identity, and digital-first strategy, ‘Jeni & Keni’ is positioning itself as one of Africa’s flagship exports in the children’s entertainment and learning space.
