Serial Entrepreneur and Screen Star: Oma Oyama Builds a Legacy Beyond Fame

While many chase fame, Favour Chioma Oyama, aka Oma Oyama, is building something far more enduring—a legacy.

An actress, designer, real estate marketer, and certified nursing assistant, Oma wears many hats. From her fashion brand Oma Afric to her hair business Oma Hairness, the multi-hyphenate creative is determined to create wealth, opportunity, and freedom—not just for herself, but for others.

“I’m what I call a ‘serial entrepreneur.’ I am always busy, always looking for something new to do to make money”, she says.

Her entrepreneurial drive is deeply personal. Having seen the challenges of poverty up close, she’s determined to change the narrative—not just for herself, but for her siblings, her peers, and the next generation of Nigerian creatives.

“My family inspires me too, a whole lot. I don’t want to see my younger ones have to go through all that I went through… I also want to be able to support my friends whenever I’m needed. I don’t ever want to decline.”

Acting may be her passion, but for Oma, success must have purpose.

“My dream is to build a legacy that empowers other creatives, especially women, and opens doors for fresh, authentic talent in Nollywood and beyond.”

In a world hungry for authentic voices, Oma Oyama is steadily carving out her own space—one role, one business, one bold choice at a time.
