Oluremi Hamid Receives WIRE-A Green Tech Champion Award

Chief Executive Officer of Hydren Energy, Engr. Oluremi Hamid, recently received award from the Women in Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria WIRE-A.
The event which took place at Maryam Babangida Banquet Hall, National Centre for Women Development Abuja aimed to recognise the tireless efforts of many change makers who believe that access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy is not a luxury but a human right.
According to the organisers of the award which came under the theme, “Fostering Effective Collaboration for Achieving Net-Zero Target in Nigeria: The Role of Women’’, the recognition of Hamid reflects her visionary leadership and commitment to transforming Nigeria’s renewable energy sector through innovative solutions, large-scale investments, and inclusive energy access initiatives.
“The award is in recognition of your trailblasing leadership in clean energy innovation, engineering excellence, and women’s empowerment in the renewable energy sector.
“Your work through Hydren Energy Ltd continues to set a benchmark for excellence, and your role in shaping the country’s sustainable energy future is truly commendable.
“Your recognition is not only well-deserved but also intended to inspire other stakeholders and emerging leaders to advance inclusive and sustainable solutions,’’ the organisers of the event added.
While commending Women in Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria for recorgnising her in such capacity, she said “lam deeply honored and humbled to receive the award for Outstanding Achievement in Revolutionizing Nigeria’s Energy Landscape.
“This recognition is not just about me; it represents the tireless efforts of many change makers who, like me, believe that access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy is not a luxury but a human right.
“As the Founder of Hydren Energy, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside passionate teams, community leaders, and young innovators to bring solar and hybrid energy solutions to households, businesses, institutions, and underserved regions.
“Each project we complete is a reminder that when we center people, especially women and youth, in our energy transformation strategies, we build not just infrastructure, but resilience, dignity, and opportunity,’’ Hamid added.
Continuing, she said that the award would further fuel her commitment to making greater impact in the renewable energy ecosystem.
