Farwill Consult Commences Ecotourism with Trip to Ife Grand Resort

Farwill Consult, Lagos, Nigeria, has officially launched its ecotourism initiative in a grand style with an unforgettable three-day road trip to Ife Grand Resort, in Ile-Ife, Osun State of Nigeria.

The firm said the trip to the location in Osun state is part of efforts at promoting local travel and immersive cultural experiences, showcasing the beauty, history, and culture of the southwestern part of the country.

Farwill Consult is a leading business and travels consultancy firm known for the organisation of training, retreats, conferences and honeymoons in different cities, and travel advisory services to numerous clients across the world.

The company relived a recent experience during the tour, which commenced in Lagos, was a vibrant blend of adventure, education, and cultural appreciation, culminating at the stunning Ife Grand Resort, Farwill Consult stated.

Recalling the crew’s experience first day of the journey from Lagos to Ibadan, Oyo State capital, the firm noted the taste of culture and cuisine of the South-West region.

It also stated: “The journey began on a bright Friday morning as participants gathered in Lagos for what would be a road trip to remember.

“The first stop was Bower’s Tower in Ibadan — a historical site perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the ancient city.

“Participants took in the scenery and captured memorable photos of the skyline.”

According to the company, the next port of call in Ibadan was the University of Ibadan (UI) Zoological Garden, in Ibadan, where travellers had a close-up encounter with nature as well as diverse animal species.

Guides shared fascinating insights into animal behavioural patterns and conservation, sparking conversations about wildlife protection in Nigeria.
Of course, no trip to Ibadan is complete without a culinary stop, it stated.

The travelling group headed for the iconic “Amala Skye”, where they equally enjoyed steaming plates of amala, ewedu, gbegiri, and assorted meats — a truly satisfying taste of Southwestern cuisine.

The group continued on to the much-anticipated Ife Grand Resort.

“On arrival, they were welcomed with a vibrant cultural performance — traditional dancers clad in rich Yoruba attire greeted guests with drums, chants, and joyful energy,” Farwill Consult recalled.

According to Farwill Consult, the first destination was the Ooni of Ife’s Palace, an edifice the company described as “a place rich in Yoruba history and tradition”.
Farwill Consult stated: “Guests listened to captivating stories of the legendary crown, and how it has represented the strength and unity of the Yoruba people for centuries.

“The palace visit offered a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of Ile-Ife as the cradle of Yoruba civilisation.”

The travelling team made its way to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, known for its stunning architecture and strong academic legacy. Participants explored the campus, marvelled at its structural design, and learned about the university’s origin and contributions to Nigeria’s intellectual development.
On day three of the journey, the company said the crew felt refreshed, educated, and made a reflective journey back to Lagos.

Speaking on their memorable experiences at the end of the trip, Mr. Moshood Fatai, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Farwill Consult, emphasised the importance of ecotourism in reshaping how Nigerians see their dear country.

Fatai said: “Many Nigerians don’t know the richness of their own land. “We often look outward when the most captivating experiences are right here.”
