GLG Communications Unveils Definitive 2025 PR Power List to Celebrate Nigeria’s PR Titans
…Introduces Ultimate Honorees
Nigerian leading public relations and reputation management firm, GLG Communications, has announced the highly anticipated 2025 PR Power List, a prestigious compilation to honour Nigeria’s top 50 most excellent and innovative public relations and communications professionals.
This definitive list, unveiled annually in celebration of World PR Day (July 16), spotlights individuals working within Nigeria and across the diaspora who have made extraordinary impact within the last 12 months.
GLG Communication management said that the 2025 PR Power List is the culmination of an unparalleled, multi-segment judging process designed to ensure absolute integrity and objectivity.
“A dedicated research team meticulously identifies and shortlists professionals, whose profiles are then rigorously evaluated by an esteemed panel of local, regional, and international jurors. These experts work independently before converging in comprehensive deliberation sessions to finalize the esteemed honorees.
“Public relations is often a thankless job, with the brilliant minds doing the magic for brands and corporations usually operating behind the scenes,” the Managing Partner at GLG Communications and Creator of the PR Power List, Omawumi Ogbe, said.
She added: “Yet, we know that PR is absolutely crucial for success. We created this list and these events precisely to celebrate the dedicated professionals who make brands, both individual and corporate, truly shine.”
Also, the President of the Upticomm Marketing Company and Council Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Segun McMedal, said: “I’ve had the privilege of serving as a juror since the inception of the 50 PR Power List, but I must say that the process of arriving at the 2025 final list has been more rigorous than ever.
“One thing remains clear: communications practitioners/professionals must be intentional about self-promotion. The list is research-driven and curated largely from publicly available profiles. If you or your company are doing outstanding work, let the world know; visibility truly matters.”
This year, GLG Communications stated that it is thrilled to introduce a groundbreaking new accolade: the Ultimate PR Power List Winner.
According to Ogbe, “From the 50 distinguished honorees, one exceptional individual will be crowned the Ultimate Winner in each of the four core categories: Rising Voices, Changemakers, Community Impact, and Fourth Estate, and will receive a coveted PR Power List plaque. This new tier of recognition celebrates those who have not only excelled but have set a new benchmark for influence and achievement.
“By introducing the Ultimate Winner, we are elevating that celebration of excellence, acknowledging those who are truly shaping the future of our industry. We are incredibly proud of this cohort, whose work continues to inspire and drive progress across the globe.”
She added: “We extend our deepest gratitude to The Guardian, who has partnered us to release this list since its inception in 2022. Their consistent support has been invaluable. We also thank our 2025 partners, including Edelman and Dentsu Agyle, for their support. We eagerly look forward to celebrating with the global PR industry throughout the week and the entire month of July.”
The 2025 PR Power List is exclusively published in The Guardian (print and online) July 16, 2025, to mark World PR Day, and can also be viewed @theglgcomms on Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn (@glgcomms).
The honorees and the PR industry will be celebrated at an exclusive invite-only PR Power List Soirée and Awards on July 18, 2025, at Alliance Française, Mike Adenuga Centre, Ikoyi, Lagos. This high-level event will feature keynote showcases, fireside chats, the grand presentation of awards, and a networking reception.
