Felbeth Marks Three Years of Upskilling Africans for Global Web3 Careers
In a compelling story of grassroots innovation and impact, Felbeth, a Web3-focused upskilling platform, has marked its third anniversary of transforming the lives of young Africans by equipping them with world-class blockchain and digital skills.
Founded by Nigerian tech advocate and Web3 entrepreneur Chisom Felix, popularly known as SOMEHCRYPTO, Felbeth began as a modest idea — a vision to prepare African youth for the opportunities emerging in blockchain and decentralized technologies. Today, it has evolved into a thriving digital community empowering hundreds across the continent.
“What started as a small community has grown into a vibrant ecosystem where learning meets opportunity,” Chisom Felix told reporters while reflecting on Felbeth’s journey. “We’ve empowered Africans to go from complete beginners to global professionals in Web3. Each bootcamp tells a story of transformation — of talent, confidence, and opportunity unlocked.”
Through intensive bootcamps and tailored programs, Felbeth has trained young Africans in high-demand skills such as blockchain development, product design, smart contract engineering, and Web3 marketing. Many participants, according to the platform, have transitioned from non-tech backgrounds into global tech roles, bridging the digital skills gap and securing jobs in the evolving Web3 space.
Co-founder Chinomso Asugha, speaking on the impact of their training programs, said: “Being directly involved in our programs and engaging with participants has been incredibly rewarding. The feedback has been consistently positive — seeing people grow in confidence, skill, and career direction is the most powerful validation of what we’re building.”
Felbeth’s growth has not gone unnoticed. The platform has received support from prominent institutions, including a grant from the Tony Elumelu Foundation and a selection into the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) Female Founders and Funders Fellowship — recognitions that highlight the team’s commitment to sustainable youth empowerment and digital inclusion.
Acknowledging the collaborative effort behind the initiative’s success, Felix noted, “I did not do this alone. Every vision needs people who carry it with you. To our team, facilitators, management, and partners — this milestone is yours as much as it is mine.”
With its eyes set on the future, Felbeth aims to deepen its impact by expanding its reach, refining its curriculum, and creating more access to global career opportunities for African youth in the tech space.
“This is only the beginning,” Felix emphasized. “We’re building a movement of transformation focused on equipping Africans with globally competitive skills, enabling them to shape the future of technology, and opening doors to opportunities that transcend borders.”
As Felbeth marks three years of continuous impact, it remains a shining example of what happens when vision, community, and opportunity intersect in the hands of determined changemakers.
