This announcement was recently made during the official meeting between Mobihealth and Airtel executives in Lagos.
According to the partners, the benefits of the Mobihealth app to Airtel subscribers ─ which is now live on Airtel’s network since March 13th ─ include 24/7 access to doctors and connection with local and international specialists; affordable telehealth plans, as low as N5000 per year for easy access to licensed doctors and those without mobile phones and digital skills, can use integrated Mobihealth’s solar-powered, satellite-connected telehealth clinics.
The Founder and CEO of Mobihealth, Dr.Funmi Adewara, stated that with the partnership, millions of Airtel subscribers across Nigeria and Africa can now access quality healthcare anytime, anywhere.
Adewara further stated that the partnership marked a significant step in expanding affordable digital healthcare, allowing users to connect with licensed doctors and healthcare professionals 24/7 via video consultations.
“Through this collaboration, Airtel subscribers can seamlessly access Mobihealth’s world-class telehealth services, including remote medical consultations, electronic prescriptions, diagnostic services, and access to genuine medications — all within a few clicks,” she said.
Stressing the impact of the partnership, she added that their mission has always been to bridge the healthcare gap by leveraging cutting-edge telemedicine technology; and that with the partnership with Airtel, they are taking a giant step forward in ensuring that no one is left behind — whether in cities or remote communities.
Adewara said that with the Mobihealth affordable subscription plans from N5000 per year and Airtel’s commitment to digital inclusion, they are democratising healthcare like never before.
“This partnership is not just about technology. It is also about saving lives. It is about empowering families, supporting frontline health workers, and building a healthier future for Africa,” she added.
Airtel Nigeria’s chief operating officer (COO), Mr Femi Osinaja, while reiterating the company’s commitment to digital healthcare access, said that Airtel has always been at the forefront of providing innovative solutions that improve the lives of Nigerians.
