Chris Ihejiawunze Champions Global Upskilling with Groundbreaking Digital Marketing Masterclass

In an era where digital fluency has become a core professional currency, one Nigerian digital strategist is quietly reshaping the landscape, one global cohort at a time.
Chris Ihejiawunze, founder of Kairos Hems and Digital Marketing Specialist at Rockall Safety, has led a transformative mentorship initiative that began with a simple Instagram post. What started as an offer to mentor 20 aspiring professionals quickly grew into an international masterclass that has trained over 100 participants from Nigeria, the UK, Canada, and India, many of whom have since launched successful careers or significantly scaled their businesses.
“I just wanted to give back,” Ihejiawunze said in an interview with THISDAY Newspaper. “It started with a post on WhatsApp and Instagram. I never imagined the response would be global.”
That post, shared in November, 2024, triggered a deluge of interest, eventually resulting in a structured program that covered a broad curriculum, from social media strategy and content creation to SEO, PPC, analytics, and digital sales funnels.
With professional roots in both corporate performance marketing and grassroots mentorship, Ihejiawunze brings a uniquely hands, on approach to digital education.
“At my core, I’m a builder,” he said. “Whether it’s building a digital strategy for a multinational or building confidence in a young marketer, I do it because I believe in the power of digital tools to create real growth.”
Having previously driven B2B marketing and global partnerships at Nigeria’s Emel Group, and currently managing performance marketing at Rockall Safety in the UK, Ihejiawunze balances his corporate work with his mission at Kairos Hems, an academy designed to equip professionals with practical, industry-ready digital skills.
“Digital marketing today is not about narrow specializations,” he explained. “You can’t excel in one area without understanding how it connects to others. The real goal is to help participants think like strategists, not just button-pushers.”
Over 50 professionals completed the intensive program, with more than 18 participants securing jobs in digital marketing across different industries. Others, particularly small business owners, reported measurable improvements in brand visibility, lead generation, and revenue growth.
Beyond personal transformation, the program had a broader ripple effect: through practical assignments, participants supported more than 25 businesses with tailored SEO audits, paid campaign strategies, and comprehensive content marketing plans.
“It wasn’t just theory,” Ihejiawunze noted. “We were solving real-world problems. And in doing that, we gave our cohort not just skills, but confidence and clarity.”
A significant 63 per cent cited ‘continuous learning and growth’ as their primary motivation for joining, followed by business growth (17 per cent) and career transition (14 per cent), evidence of a global shift toward digital upskilling.
While the inaugural cohort had to be capped to maintain quality mentorship, Ihejiawunze emphasizes that the initiative is far from over.
