Andersen Consulting Expands to Africa, Strengthening Advisory Services in Nigeria
In a strategic move that underscores its global ambitions, Andersen has launched Andersen Consulting, a new independent consulting practice integrating cutting-edge digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions, and business strategy with its world-class tax, legal, valuation, and global mobility expertise.
This expansion includes Lagos-based Verraki Partners, solidifying Andersen’s long-term investment in Africa’s growing economy.
Unlike consulting firms that have increasingly been absorbed by private equity ownership, Andersen remains independently operated, allowing it to provide conflict-free advisory services tailored to its clients’ needs.
With over 3,000 professionals operating in 60 countries across six continents, the firm is challenging the dominance of traditional players in the industry.
“Our clients are looking for innovative strategies to stay ahead in an evolving marketplace,” said Mark L. Vorsatz, Global Chairman and CEO of Andersen. “Andersen Consulting was built to help businesses navigate this transformation. In just six months, we’ve established a consulting practice in 66 countries with 3,000 professionals, aiming for $1 billion in revenue within three years.”
Recognising Africa’s economic potential, Andersen has prioritised Nigeria as a strategic hub for its expansion. The inclusion of Verraki Partners in the launch underscores Andersen’s commitment to delivering world-class consulting services tailored to African markets.
“CEO’s and Boards consistently tell us that the traditional consulting model falls short,” said Vorsatz. “They want a single firm capable of delivering a comprehensive range of consulting services. Andersen Consulting delivers a fresh, entrepreneurial approach that blends deep industry expertise, AI-driven technology, and independent advisory services.”
Meanwhile, Andersen Consulting differentiates itself from the Big four firms by eliminating audit-related conflicts, ensuring truly independent and client-first advisory services.
“With the largest physical footprint in professional services—a presence in 179 countries—Andersen provides an unmatched global platform,” said Shaheen.
“This reach enables seamless cross-border solutions, integrating technology and advisory services across industries and geographies,” shared Shaheen.
With an ambitious goal of reaching $1 billion in revenue within three years, Andersen Consulting is positioning itself as a disruptor in the consulting space.
As businesses across Nigeria and Africa seek to compete in a rapidly digitising world, Andersen Consulting’s presence offers a crucial advantage. Through technology-driven solutions with deep industry insights, the firm aims to empower African enterprises to scale and compete globally.
