Mairo Ese’s unique sound is deeply connected to his heart and reverence for God. His music style is versatile, influenced by his time growing up in the choir, where he learned to sing across different genres. His influences include renowned gospel artists such as Maranatha music, Bob Fitts, Don Moen, Ron Kenoly, and Darlene Zschech.

When asked about his unique sound, Mairo Ese shared, “My sound is deeply connected to my heart — my heart for God, my understanding of who God is, and my reverence for Him. That’s what really drives my sound.”

Mairo Ese’s musical journey began with the release of his debut album titled, ‘The Worship of Yahweh,’ in 2015. He followed up with his sophomore album, ‘Spirit and Life,’ in 2020. Personally, I’m drawn to the South African sound. I also love Swahili music, and I have even learned a few of their songs. Traveling to different places and experiencing various musical styles has shaped my creativity. Interacting with the African style of music, Australian music, and Hillsong music have influenced my songwriting. So, when I create music, these different sounds from different places find their way into my songs.”
